Gaby Roslin revealed it was Rav Wilding's "final day" on Morning Live as he takes time off to film the fresh series of Crimewatch.
Following her introduction of Friday's Morning Live programme, Gaby declared: "Rav, today is also your last day for three weeks.
"We're losing you. You're heading off to a wonderful Crimewatch Live, aren't you?"
"Yes," Rav confirmed before continuing, "I've got a very important job to do. Yes, it's going to start on Monday.
"So, of course, as we know, Michelle Ackerley is off on maternity leave at the moment, so we do have a spot for two other presenters who are going to fill in.", reports Wales Online.
"Michelle's very much involved. She's made some films for us, but for the lives, we've got two presenters. We've got Steph McGovern and Jennifer Reoch, here we go."
As footage flashed up on screen, Rav continued: "This is us yesterday in action, and actually one of them wants to have a little chat with us now."
Steph McGovern then emerged on screen to discuss the upcoming series of Crimewatch Live.
"So, Steph, this is a full circle for you, isn't it? Taking part in the inquiry?" Gaby enquired.
Steph responded: "Yeah, it is because I started back out at the BBC when I was 19, and one of my first jobs was as a call handler on Crimewatch.
"So, one of the team that's taking all the calls from the viewers and getting information, and I was one of those people. I vividly remember one episode when Fiona Bruce was presenting.
"So it was just before Rav joined, actually, and I was there, and she came and sat on the table that I was at, and I was desperate to just turn around with my little headset on and be like, 'Hi mam'. "
She continued, "It's a full circle now to presenting it with Rav. And obviously, Rav is like a Crimewatch legend, so it's really exciting to be doing it."
