Watch out Samsung - new £69 Android phone looks way better its price suggests

Can't afford the latest Galaxy S25? Motorola has something way more affordable.

Samsung might have just announced the launch of its more wallet-friendly Galaxy S25 FE (Fan Edition) but it can't get close to matching a new budget blower from Motorola. The moto g06 will launch next month and will cost just £69.99 - that's almost 10 times less than that FE device.

Now, you might be thinking you won't get much for that money, but you may be pleasantly surprised.

The moto g06 comes packed with a very bright 6.88-inch screen, 50MP rear camera plus a splash-proof design and soft luxe texture finish.

There's even Gorilla Glass 3 to help prevent the screen getting smashed and expandable storage (via a microSD card) - that's a feature which is pretty hard to find on most modern phones.

Other bonus extras include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Bass Boost technology, plus there's a MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme chipset under the body.

Motorola is also promising access to smart AI upgrade such as Circle to Search with Google and image editing tools like Magic Editor, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur and more.

Along with the moto g06, there's also a moto g06 power on its way as well.

This device gets a bigger 7000mAh battery, which will easily get users through a day and beyond.

In fact, Motorola is boasting that owners could get two and a half days of life on a single charge.
