Topshop returning to UK high street as full list of 32 locations confirmed

The British fashion company closed all its shops in 2021 after the brand was acquired by ASOS for £330million, following the collapse of Sir Philip Green's Arcadia Group

Topshop and Topman are set to make a huge return to the high street next year under a new partnership with John Lewis.

Topshop products will be sold in 32 John Lewis branches across the UK from February 2026, with Topman products launching in six sites. You can see the full list of stores below.

The British fashion company closed all its shops in 2021 after the brand was acquired by ASOS for £330million, following the collapse of Sir Philip Green's Arcadia Group. Shoppers can currently only buy Topshop products from the ASOS website.

However, the popular fashion retailer confirmed this summer that it was looking to return to the high street permanently after it held a pop-up event at Defected Records in east London.

Topshop also officially relaunched its standalone website last month.

Peter Ruis, managing director of John Lewis, said: “We think this is something people will queue outside the door for. We have younger customers, beauty is a classic example of that, and John Lewis is multi-generational, but I think it will bring in more.

“It will bring more of those ‘family day out’ shoppers and as the only place to go for it, we will hopefully be driving customers who don’t always come through the door, across all age groups.”

Michelle Wilson, managing director of Topshop, said: “The conversations we’ve had with customers around the relaunch is that people are desperate to see Topshop back in stores, so we do think we will bring customers into John Lewis that might not have come in before.”

It comes after Ikea took over the former Topshop store in Oxford Street last month. Ingka Investment, the investment arm of the retail group, bought the Grade II listed building at 214 Oxford Street after Arcadia fell into administration.

Work started on the site in 2022, with original plans to open the location by autumn 2023, but the renovations were dogged by complications, including water leaks in the basement.
