Woman visits Shein shop for first time but shoppers are gutted by one thing

Shivani Khosla recently ventured to London's Oxford Street to visit a Shein shop for the first time, and she documented her experience online. It seems that shoppers were disappointed by one thing

Lots of people buy clothes from Shein, as the global online fashion retailer offers stylish clothes at affordable prices, but one woman recently stunned people by visiting an actual Shein shop for the first time ever. A few days ago, Shivani Khosla headed to Oxford Street, in London, to see what was on offer at the store, and a few things caught her attention.

She stood in the queue for 20 minutes keen to see what was available to snap up, and she made some pretty impressive fashion observations. Even though people were equally thrilled and shocked to see an actual Shein shop on the high street, it wasn't long before shoppers were left a little gutted.

In a clip shared on TikTok, Shivani admitted it was only a pop up store, which means it was only actually open for a few days. While you may have been in a rush to visit to actually have the chance to try things on before buying, if you missed your chance, it seems you may have to settle for ordering from the online retailer, and waiting a little longer to see what the outfits look like.

Shivani said: "The initial queue seemed quite long because I made my way all the way to the back. Guys, I thought this was a permanent store but, apparently, it's only a pop up.

"It's here until Sunday, so you don't have long. It quickly got really busy behind me. I was standing stationary for ages but, all of a sudden, it just started moving. It looks so cool inside."

Before venturing to the store, she heard the prices were "expensive", but this wasn't quite the case, based on her experience. In a follow up video, she explained she doesn't usually shop there, but she made the most of her shopping trip.

She found some earrings for only £2.00, a jacket for £47.99 and a little jacket for £24.00, which she admitted "wasn't too bad." When it comes to shopping, it always depends on what you're looking for.

According to Shivani, there was also a way shoppers could get 30% off in store, which she thought was pretty good. Overall, unless you have discount, she said the prices were around the same as online based on what she could see.

Even though people thought it was pretty amazing, some were disappointed by one thing. They hoped the shop would be open for a little longer than it was.

One said: "Oh wait, it leaves on Sunday." Another added: "Aww, I can't go." A third replied: "Pop up until Sunday, surely not."

Others were quick to say how much they loved the store though, as someone else wrote: "Beautiful shop." One more replied: "Right, this is amazing."

This month Shein launched another pop up shop on Oxford Street following its tremendous success in 2023. The temporary store was open until Sunday, September 28 after first welcoming customers on Friday.

The pop up offered fortunate Londoners the chance to browse items in person rather than having to wait for online deliveries. While hundreds queued to get their hands on the goods, others were gutted they missed it.

Having only been available for a few days, some shoppers didn't know about the pop up, or simply couldn't get there in time. They hope that another one will launch again soon.

For those confused about the Missguided branding at the store, Shein bought the Missguided brand name in late 2023. This is why you can find a dedicated Missguided section on the Shein UK website.
